FAQ
1. How do I change the status of my users?
-You can change your user’s status by going to User Management Users & Groups Select your user and hit the Pencil Icon in the right-hand corner. Once you are in the Edit user page, you can use the “Active user toggle” to turn “On” for active and turn “Off” for inactive. Select Apply after you have confirmed you updates. -In the Users list view, you can also select multiple users and update their status in one action using the “User Status” Drop down. By selecting your users and clicking on the drop-down, you can “Activate or Deactivate” the targeted users. -In the Users List view, you can select the “Import” button and it will open the “Import from CSV file page. You can download the CSV template in the right-hand corner. Once that has been downloaded, make sure to input your users’ data in the appropriate fields. In the active column, use TRUE for active, and FALSE for inactive. When your spreadsheet is all prepped, you will need to select your import option -Keep current user statuses unchanged – This option will allow you to make changes to user data but will not change the user statuses. -Update each user’s status based on the active/inactive flag in the CSV file – This option will allow you bulk update user statuses using the TRUE or FALSE flags in the active column. -Lastly, select the CSV Import button and follow the steps to complete the process.
2. How will Active and Inactive users affect my launches?
-This is the first phase introducing the Active/Inactive user feature, it will not affect how simulations are launched. This means that you can still include Inactive users in simulations, both as an individual Employee and/or as a member of a group. Both Active and Inactive members of the launch group will be sent emails.
3. How does this affect SCIM Integrations for user provisioning?
-In this first phase, this feature will not impact your SCIM provisioning process. The general SCIM logic will still consist of users who are created will show as “active” by default in the platform. Users who are disabled from the SCIM, will remain as “active” in the platform, but will be orphaned from the SCIM group. This is a fail safe to ensure users who are set as “inactive” from SCIM are not set inactive if they belong to multiple groups. The orphaned group users can be sorted and then marked as inactive using the User Status” drop down in the Users list view (Located in User Management Users & Groups). After confirming your selection, you can click the “User Status” drop-down and select “Deactivate.” Further support SCIM nuances will be coming in later phases of this feature
